Old Babylonian cuneiform enveloped tablet.

A clay tablet encased in a protective clay "envelope" to conceal its contents and potentially prevent tampering. The envelope in inscribed with 12 lines of cuneiform text and the surface is rolled with a cylinder seal which bears an inscription naming the owner.
