Citizens, as well, were growing impatient with slow responses to their reports about broken park benches and water fountains, for example. In her previous job, Wendy had successfully streamlined the administrative burdens connected to a similar maintenance reporting process, and she has some ideas for how to do that again. First, however, Wendy must overcome some obstacles, including the executive debate that inevitably surfaces when attempting to streamline red tape-heavy processes.This case defines administrative burden and red tape from multiple angles.
