Description
Item Description:Estimated date derived from dates publisher active at Threadneedle Street (1816-1833) and known date (1831) of a book advertised on the rear printed wrapper.
Niall Kenny, seller, description: Rare pamphlet, no copies traced. There is another, different, printing in RVC of 118 pp (see below), which has a different frontispiece. The imprint on the frontispiece is “40 Threadneedle St. London.” The date of publication is surmised, based on the addresses on title page and frontispiece (Dean and Munday trading from 1811-1843, and at 40 Threadneedle Street from c. 1816-33). The rear printed wrapper has a list of other publications by Dean and Munday, including information on B. Lawrence’s “The Complete cattle-keeper…”, so it is possibly after 1831.
