The description and uses of a new contriv'd eliptical double dial; as also of the universal æquinoctial dial : Which serve to find the latitude, hour of the day, the true meridian, the altitude, azimuth, and declination of the sun; his place in the ecliptick, the time of his rising and setting, length of day and night, &c. With a scheme of each dial curiously engraven. Very useful for all seamen and travellers, and our curious gentry to set, examine, and adjust their pendulums. Whereunto is added a correct table of the latitude of the most eminent cities and towns in Europe; as also a table of equation. By Tho.
