An ordinance of the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, : for the speedy raising of one thousand dragoons, to be levyed according to ability in the severall hundreds of the county of Essex, for the safety of the Kingdom. And the said county of Essex is hereby charged with the sum of thirteen thousand five hundred pounds, to be rated and levied after the manner and proportion of the weekly assessments, for the payment of my lord generalls army.
