Whereas an act passed in the tenth year of Her Majesty's reign, intituled, An act for regulating, improving and encouraging the woollen manufacture of mixt or medly broad cloth, : and for better payment of the poor employed therein, hath proved ineffectual to prevent the abuses committed in making and measuring the same, to the disreputation of the said manufacture abroad, and the great discouragement of the good makers and fair dealers therein:.
