Pierre Gavannon and Company, asserted to be of the city of Ostend, merchants and subjects of His Imperial Majesty the emperor of Germany, and the true, lawful and sole owners and proprietors of all and singular the goods, wares, and merchandizes laden and on board the said ship at the time of the capture, claimant and appellant, against Thomas Wells, Esq. commander of His Majesty's ship of war the Champion, and Nicholas Ingram, Esq. commander of His Majesty's ship of war the Star, their officers and mariners, the captors of the said ship and cargo, respondents.
