Hodegus confuted, in a plain demonstration, that the pillar of a cloud and fire, which led the Israelites thro' the wilderness; was not, as Mr. Toland vainly imagines, a fire of human preparation, but the most miraculous and awful presence of God, under the similitude of column of cloud and fire.
