Of church-wardens, overseers of the highways, and hearthmoney collectors. VIII. Of public offences, treason, murde[r], felony, burglary, robbery, rape, sodomy, forgery, perjury, &c. Whereby country gentlemen, merchants, tradesmen and others, may be particularly acquainted with our laws and statutes, concerning civil and criminal affairs, and know how to defend themselves, their estates and fortunes; in all cases whatsoever.
