Whereas Mrs. Mary Mercer, daughter of the Late Thomas Mercer, Doctor of Physick, hath most charitably given a large stone-house, at the lower end of Stephen's-Street, to the purpose and intent of an hospital for the reception of such poor sick persons as are afflicted with distempers of tedious and doubtful cure, and of all such sick and poor as the governors of the said hospital shall direct and appoint.
