Letter from the Secretary of the Army transmitting a letter from the Chief of Engineers, United States Army, dated January 23, 1953, submitting a report, together with accompanying papers and illustrations, on a review of reports on Los Angeles Harbor, Calif., with a view to determining if it is advisable at this time to improve Bixby Slough and Dominguez Del Amo for the purpose of providing an inner harbor closer to the City of Los Angeles; and Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbor, Calif., with a view to determining whether further harbor and channel improvements in the East Basin area, Los Angeles, are advisable at this time, requested by resolutions of the Committee on Rivers and Harbors and the Committee on Public Works, House of Representatives, adopted on February 1, 1946, and February 17, 1950, respectively.
