Memorial of the Legislature of Alabama, asking, 1st, a law granting pre-emption rights to settlers on public lands; 2d, a graduation and reduction of the price of lands that have been offered and remain unsold; 3d, that unproductive lands that have been for -- years offered, and remain unsold, may be granted to the states within which they lie; 4th, that poor sixteenth sections may be relinquished, and others entered in lieu of them.
