Duties on imports. (To accompany the revenue bill (No. 472) reported by the Committee of Ways and Means.) Tables showing the rates of duties Imposed by the Tariff Acts of 1816, 1824, 1828, and 1832; also, the rates of duties proposed to be imposed by the several bills which have been presented to the House at the present session, by the Committee on Manufactures, the Committee of Ways and Means, and the Secretary of the Treasury; also, the quantity and foreign cost and charges of several of the articles enumerated in the tables, and imported in the year 1840, &c. to which are appended the tariff laws from 1789 to 1833, with the votes in each House of Congress thereon, arranged according to states.
