Nathan der Weise /
A filmed version of a theatrical performance of the play by the 18th century German theater critic and writer, G. E. Lessing. The play presents a plea for religious tolerance by examining the tensions that trouble an old Jew, a Moslem sultan and a medieval Christian Knight of the Templars.
