The First attempt in America : On Tuesday, the 24th of January, 1775, was published, by Benjamin Towne, in Front-Street, near the Coffee-House, Philadelphia, an uninfluenced and impartial newspaper, entitled the Pennsylvania evening post, which will be regularly published every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings, at the trifling price of ten shillings the year, three shillings the quarter, or two pennies each number.
