State of Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations. In General Assembly, March session, 1778 : Whereas the Most Honorable the Continental Congress did, on the twenty-second of November last, pass the following resolution, to wit: "Whereas advantages have arisen from the establishment of continental loan-offices, on which Congress continue to place great dependence; in order therefore, as far as it is practicable, to ascertain the supplies for the war which may be raised in the several states upon loan-office certificates."
