To the electors of Baltimore County : During the last election, Mr. Charles Ridgely (of William) publicly avowed an intention of quitting his seat in assembly next fall ... in consequence of which, and in compliance with a respectable application, I then consented to expose myself to the calumny and detraction peculiarly incident to the situation, by standing a canditate [as printed] at the ensuing general election.
