Everything is relatives /
William Rivers, who originally trained as a doctor, did work as a pioneering psychologist in the First World War. This enabled Rivers to bring a scientific approach to anthropology and set the trend for anthropologists to go and visit the cultures rather than staying at home and theorizing.
