Gil Evans, 1912-1988 /
Examines Evans' life and music, particularly his association with jazz greats Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan, and John Lewis in the 1940-s and 1950's. Portions of Evans' landmark album Porgy and Bess, which he recorded with Mulligan, are featured.
