The reasons offer'd by the weavers : setting forth the necessity of a free trade in the making of Colchester bays, are reduceable under the following heads: I. They want more work. II. They want a better price for their work. III. The present restraint the trade lies under must end in the monopolizing of it. IV. There was never any restraint from the first foundation of the trade until the year 1707. In answer to which reasons the bay-makers humbly subjoin the following considerations as their case.
