L'Italiana in Algeri /
The Bey of Algiers, Mustafa, is tired of his wife Elvira. He tries to palm her off on his favorite slave, Lindoro, hoping to interest an Italian woman, Isabella, into becoming his new wife. Isabella turns out to be too much for him. She returns to Italy, and he goes back to Elvira.
