The long walk home /
In 1955 Alabama, blacks are boycotting the public bus system until they are allowed to sit where they like. Odessa Cotter, a maid, must walk the nine miles to her employer, Miriam Thompson. What follows is a journey for both women, a journey towards equality and awareness.
