The Cushing Library/Rare Books/Morrison Collection copy is signed by Ann Hodgson, Alice Hodgson, and Mary Hodgson on front paste-down of volume 1; "Mary Hodgson," "Mrs. WIlkinson [illegible] Cumberland" were written in ink on verso of potrait, but covered in thin paper. "Ann Hodgson's book, November 2, 1851" written on flyleaf of volume 2. Ephemera: A newspaper clipping about a new translation of Burns pasted on verso of back fly-leaf of volume 1; eight clippings about Burns from Scottish and British newspapers dating from 1905 to 1926 inserted at front of volume 2; later 20th century bookmark from the Caravan Bookstore, Los Angeles, CA (the bookmark probably belonging to Lois Goddard Morrison) also inserted in volume 2. |
