Industrial relations & politics in Britain, 1880-1989 /

In the course of a study of industrial relations from a social historical perspective, the author argues that gradual accredition of government responsibility for industrial relations led to a crisis in 1979. Thatcher's consequent policy shift, and implications for the future, are examined.
