Pudd'nhead Wilson /
Mark Twain uses his insight and wit to explore the issues of slavery, mother/son relationships, justice, and the many shapes of human folly. A mulatto slave switches her disconcertingly white baby with her master's son to protect it in a time of strong racial prejudice.
