Abstract:	"Neuropsychology is a subdiscipline of psychology composed of scientists and clinicians studying the relationship between behavior and human brain structure and function. The discipline aim is to improve the understanding of the neural substrate of psychological phenomena and to guide diagnosis and rehabilitation of disorders of the central nervous system. This book describes current knowledge in the field, to guide future research, and to stimulate the development of new neuropsychological methods. This volume 2 provides knowledge to guide research on the questions raised in Volume 1 and stimulates innovative assessment and intervention methods. With its focus on new knowledge and innovation, Volume 2 continues the handbook's emphasis on the future of neuropsychology. The chapter authors represent a broad range of expertise ranging from the effects of brain disease on domains of neuropsychological functioning to advanced statistical methods. The volume is organized into five parts. Part I, Neuroscience, begins with chapters on neurobehavioral functioning. Part II, Assessment: Emerging Methods, focuses on nontraditional methods of neuropsychological assessment. Part III, Interventions, describes techniques intended to be useful across a variety of disorders or conditions. Part IV, Neuroimaging Methods: Tutorial Presentations, includes discussions of a broad range of structural and functional imaging methods.
