Description
Summary:"The present study on the development of attitudes of children living in mountain hollows of varying social complexity was undertaken in the hope that many of the complicating problems previously met in studying attitudes might be eliminated. The study of the attitudes of these mountain children was undertaken only after a long period of observation and of investigations of their intelligence, social relationships, environmental conditions, and so on. This information enabled the investigators to draw some conclusions which would have been impossible from studies of children living under the usual complex conditions. It was also possible to compare the attitudes of children living under different but known environmental conditions"--Introduction. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved).
