Description
Summary:Advertisement to sell mares and horses purchased as a result of a recent depression in Mexico. The dealer states: "The Mexican horse is a descendent of the thoroughbred Arabians brought to Mexico in the seventeenth century by the old Spanish cavaliers, and the strain has scarcely ever been crossed. They have degenerated in size, but retain the muscle, bottom and intelligence of the celebrated ancestors. For breeding purposes these mares have no superior among cheap stock, and the horses are quite strong enough for ordinary work and saddle purposes. Five Mexican horses will keep fat on the food necessary to keep three ordinary horses alive."
