Summary:In these images, photographer N. A. Forsyth documented the round-ups of a herd of American buffalo on the Flathead Reservation in Montana, and the transport of this herd to Canada in 1908-1909. Michel Pablo was the owner of the herd, who had sold it to the Canadian government. The Western artist C. M. Russell, a friend of Forsyth's, was there; this event inspired many of his paintings.
