|a This interactive book allows readers to play tictactoe against the book itself. Players can either allow this book to make the first move or take the initiative themselves. If this book makes the first move, it is randomly selected by flipping through the topright page corners which are marked with letters corresponding to the playing grid. A random selection for a book response can also occur during games to create more variation. This book comes with a special tool that translates between the reader's playing grid (using letters) and the book's response (using numbers). No specialist knowledge of mathematics is needed, but it does require (and it might develop) a degree of focus to follow the logic through.
