Description
Summary:Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells are currently considered the most promising clean energy-converting devices for stationary, transportation, and micro-power applications due to their high energy density, high efficiency, and environmental friendliness. Although tremendous efforts have been exerted worldwide in the development of PEM fuel cells, and much progress has been made towards their commercialization, two major technical obstacles still hinder the commercialization of PEM fuel cells, namely high cost and low reliability/durability.
