The lost theory of Asclepiades of Bithynia /

Asclepiades, who advocated a therapy involving wine and passive exercise, devised a peculiar physical theory to explain all biological phenomena. None of his work survives intact, but copious ancient testimonies allow us to reconstruct many details of the theory.
