Item Description:	"A[uctore] F. de Wit." Relief shown pictorially. The four corners of the map have allegorical depictions of the seasons. Appears in the cartographer's atlases and Atlas maior; publication date based on states described in Carhart. State 2, in which putti were placed in the cusps and a border added; see Rodney Shirley, Mapping of the world, entry 451. Shows California as an island. "1"--Top right corner. Vertical fold line at center.
