| Summary: | A Spanish log book for the ship San Antonio de Padua alias La Reina de España. Much of its trade involved slaves. The ship carried 14 guns and had a crew of twenty-six men. The log book starts in 1756 and ends in 1760. It should be noted that, for the navigation in these documents, the Spanish used the prime meridian calculated at the Real Instituto y Observatoroio de la Armada de San Fernando at Cádiz (latitude 36°27'54"N, longitude 6°12'21" W). The last section (22 pages) of the log book contains Signs and Orders to be observed by ships that are part of the Fleet ... A series of regulations for the fleet in 1760. |
