| Summary: | This exemplar addresses the practical and methodological considerations involved in carrying out qualitative longitudinal analysis using multiple datasets. The objective of the analysis illustrated here is to obtain insights into the changing character of people's understanding of climate change that are broadly generalizable to a wider public. Six datasets are utilised, spanning the period 1997 to 2010. Although these were originally assembled for largely unrelated research projects, in each case the datasets comprise public participants' perspectives on the scientific, societal, and personal implications of climate change. |
