|a This example demonstrates what techniques can be applied, and what skills are needed, in the analysis of focus group transcripts. It concentrates on the analysis of a single focus group. The data used comes from a focus group with social science lecturers, one of whom was in a senior position while the others were lecturers or senior lecturers. Jamie Harding a was the moderator for the focus group discussion. The group was part of a broader educational project with objectives including 'Research, identify and disseminate good practice in the organisation and delivery of seminars'.
