Description
Summary:This dataset is designed to teach the effective creation and dissemination of online qualitative surveys and the thematic analysis of the survey data that is collected. This data is drawn from an online survey that was conducted in September 2022 using "Google Forms" to gather stories about how and why English language teachers started in the profession and why they continue to teach. The exemplar includes responses from two teachers who answered the survey questions. The exemplar is used to demonstrate how the researchers went about coding the data and identified themes that emerged that helped to explain teacher motivations for starting and continuing to teach. The data exemplar is accompanied by a teaching guide and a student guide.
