Description
Summary:This case study reflects on a National Innovation Centre for Rural Excellence (NICRE) funded study investigating the potential viability of rural pub coworking as a potential diversification strategy for rural pubs in the UK. Hybrid and home working patterns have increased significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic with many people using this flexibility to relocate from urban to rural areas, signalling a need for rural co-working spaces The case study considers several assumptions the research team made in the original methodological design that negatively impacted their initial efforts to recruit participants. By exploring how the team navigated these assumptions in their research journey, it unpacks how their learning process improved participant recruitment and strengthened the outcomes of the study.
