Maps dated 1652; that of Europe engraved by Vaughan, that of Asia by Johañ Goddard, and those of Africa and America by Will: Trevethen. In 6 parts, each with special title page. Books 1-2 have imprint: London, Printed by E.C. for H. Seile, 1656-57; Book 3, Book 4 part 1 and "An appendix" have imprint: London, Printed for H. Seile, 1656; Book 4 part 2 has imprint: Printed for P. Chetvvind. Includes indexes. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy was acquired as part of the Lois Goddard Morrison Collection of Eighteenth Century Literature. The Cushing Library/Rare Books/Morrison Collection copy has signature 5C⁴ bound before signature 5L², and "A computation of foreign coins herein mentioned, with the English" pasted onto back fly-leaf. This table was appears to be from another publication, as it is much smaller than this book. |
