| Item Description: | Illustrated title, in color, and subsequent leaves enclosed in decorative border. Privately printed (?) on parchment. Date of dedication: 4th October 1873. The enclosed letter begins: "To W. H. Walrond Esq." It is in manuscript, undated, and contains a list of 34 subscribers. This testimonial was mentioned in the Tiverton Gazette, East Devon Herald, Tuesday, November 12, 1872 (viewed online), in which the Tiverton Conservative Working Men's Association supported the presentation of the testimonial to Mr. Walrond. Apparently, they were hoping to to encourage Walrond to stand again in an election. |
