Description
Summary:"An interdisciplinary journal, the 'Cahiers d'histoire russe' covers the political, social, economic and cultural (particularly literary) history of the Russian Empire from its origins to 1917, then of the USSR and finally of the various States which emerged from it. Currently, an important place is devoted to the study of power practices at work during the Soviet period. Studies based on newly accessible archives are favored. One of the originalities of the journal is the important part given to the study of the Empire and the USSR in their national, religious and cultural components. Nearly a third of the articles are in fact devoted to specific areas of the former USSR: Caucasus, Central Asia, Tatarstan and Crimea... The articles and reports are published in French, Russian or English."--
