| Item Description: | In an edition of 50. Issued in solander box. Published to coincide with the centenary of the novella's posthumous publication. "Fifty copies of this book were produced by Bradley Hutchinson at his letterpress printing office in Austin, Texas in the spring of 2024. It was designed by Barry Moser and Mr. Hutchinson and was set in Pennyroyal Book, designed by David Jonathan Ross in 2018 for Pennyroyal Press. The title page calligraphy and the opening initial are the work of Judythe Sieck of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The woodcuts were printed from the original blocks on Kitakata, a semi-handmade washi paper primarily composed of Philippine gampi fiber manufactured by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. The text is printed on Hahnemühle Biblio, and acid-free, mould-made sheet from the Hahnemühle mill in Dassel, Germany, whose history dates back to 1584. The binding was executed by Jace Graf at Cloverleaf Studio in Austin, Texas. The text comes courtesy of the Melville Electronic Library (MEL)."--Colophon.
