Description
Summary:This book presents the results of the third international study on confirmation work. Almost 10.000 adolescents from different European countries reported their experiences in the 2021/22 confirmation year. Country-specific reports from Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland provide insights into the state of confirmation work during the pandemic and afterwards. Systematic chapters deal with current discussions on learning and teaching, digital media, gender issues, youth religiosity, and confirmands who are distanced from the church. 29 scholars from the nine participating countries contribute with their insights and recommendations for future confirmation work. All results are embedded in the light of a new quality approach based on confirmand feedback.
