Item Description:	Relief shown pictorially. Map was originally included with the official unit history, The Falcon : combat history of the 79th Fighter Group, United States Army Air Forces, 1942-1945. The volume was printed in Munich, Germany by F. Bruckmann in 1946. The 79th Fighter Group participated in the capture of North Africa, the invasion of Italy, and the assault on southern France. The maps captures these actions and more, with several small vignettes representing highlights of the campaign. Over thirty different landing grounds with time and place, ranging from Egypt to Austria are labeled and listed chronologically in upper right.
