| Summary: | In this case study we discuss how the survey in our research project was constructed and highlight the process of developing new measures while selecting existing measures relevant to our research objectives. Recognizing the importance of a diverse sample, our theoretical framework necessitated the inclusion of participants from various ethnic backgrounds and income levels. We address the practical considerations involved in ensuring survey accessibility and recruiting a diverse group of participants from multiple sites. Further, we discuss the challenges encountered during data analysis and touch on broader issues related to inclusivity in online research. We emphasize the significance of representing diverse populations in our findings and the implications for understanding joint and disjointed career-related goal pursuit. By offering insights into the design, implementation, and analysis of our research project, we aim to provide guidance on conducting online studies by preparing researchers practically and encouraging inclusivity in their research endeavors. |
