Description
Summary:This case study discusses the development of an easily accessible tool to screen for childhood well-being using a virtual online platform. The need to be able to assess the well-being of our childhood population and intervene early has become a pressing issue. We present both advantages and disadvantages of conducting test-retest reliability through a virtual format, including obtaining consent and assent and use of technology-based platforms for tool administration, and discuss the challenges of conducting research with school-aged children through a virtual environment. The methodology presented in this case study can be implemented in any research conducted with children through a virtual platform.
