Description
Summary:A docufiction that blends the imaginary of a Zoque community with the fatalism of nature. In 1982, the Chichonal volcano erupted and buried their town of Esquipulas Guayabal. Years later, they rebuild their lives in Nuevo Guayabal, while the volcano and the old town haunt them. Trinidad, a poet born on the day of the eruption, has dreamlike visions that inspire a collective effort to dig up the ancient town and reconnect with the Piowachue, the spirit of the volcano.
