Summary:The Chamber Orchestra of Europe was founded in 1981 by a group of young musicians graduating from the European Union Youth Orchestra. Their ambition was to continue working together at the highest possible professional level, and of that original group, 18 remain in the current core membership of 50. In 2011, they celebrate their 30th anniversary. This prom sees the orchestra perform two works by Brahms: Piano Concerto No.2 in B flat major and Symphony No. 4 in E minor.
