| Summary: | Warrior Up! is a documentary series that follows Indigenous youth across Turtle Island who are standing up and making change, transforming their communities, their lands and their lives for the better. Episode 13: Oklahomans Desiree Mathews, 18, Jeanetta Leach, 22, Kayce O'Field, Emily Christie and Madison Whitekiller, all 23, are more than halfway through their physically and emotionally draining bike ride. They are following the path that their Cherokee ancestors were forced to walk more than 180 years earlier in a forced relocation that changed Cherokee history. Host Anna Lambe continues to follow their epic journey along the Trail of Tears, where at points it reminds her of the forced relocation of her own Inuit ancestors in the 1960s. The last half of the journey has them crossing the longest, toughest state Missouri, and questioning whether or not they can make it. The last day of the ride is bittersweet for a group that has grown so close, and also dangerous in one particular spot. But finally, the riders return to their home community of Talaquah, Oklahoma to a hero's welcome and reflect on the importance of keeping the memory of the Forced Removal alive for future generations.
