Summary:In Sao Paulo, some non-traditional families are articulating in favor of LGBT rights. With surnames such as D'Matthah, Vallentyne Lawinny, Mad Queen, Lobos or Stronger, these families are groups made up of LGBT youth and adolescents from the periphery, who decided to unite not because of blood ties, but because of affection and the desire to conquer the public space without fear, without feeling discriminated. The origin of each family varies. Dating back to the mid-2000s, they now bring together hundreds of members, mostly between 16 and 20 years old, who divide into the roles of father, mother, son or daughter. The series intends to reveal the profile of each of these groups of young people and teenagers. Five families will be portrayed, focusing on three of their members.
Episode 2: Descubra uma das famílias mais conhecidas de São Paulo, a Vallentyne Lawinny, cujo nome remete a valentia. Fundada em 2004 com o objetivo de proteger quem frequenta o centro da cidade, não foram raros os momentos em que Douglas, pai da família, teve que acudir algum filho contra ataques de homofobia ou contra a covardia de outras famílias - Douglas prefere chamá-las de gangues. No episódio, acompanhe o cotidiano do pai da Vallentyne Lawinny como DJ e árbitro de futebol amador e relembre com ele um caso marcante de violência; veja como o Bonde dos Lawinny promove o nome da família nos ensaios e apresentações de funk e embala os sonhos de três integrantes; e entenda como o Consulado das Famílias LGBT, organização de articulação e militância das famílias, vem apontando para Maart Beul, filho de Douglas, um caminho de superação e empoderamento.
